Great coffee in a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere. Located right on Front Street, looking at the Missouri River. Bring your breakfast voucher here for a complimentary coffee and breakfast item.
A true institution in Washington. Home of the Mile High Pie. Cowans has been serving incredible food since 1973. This is where all the locals go for breakfast. If you are recovering after a big night of drinking, or if you are in the 'after church crowd.' You will be well-fed and leave happy as a sinner or a saint.
The Swallows Nest Cafe
Delicious sandwiches, great service, and an amazing patio make this a great stop for lunch or grab a quick snack. But don't just come during the day; the night is right at The Nest Cafe. With live music and a great chill vibe, this is a great place to enjoy the weather and relax. You can also rent a day on the Swallow's Next Express Trolley to see the surrounding area in style. Make sure to also check out Plush Home and Fashions connected to The Nest Cafe for all your retail therapy needs.

Dinner and Drinks
Old Bridgeview Brewing
This AMAZING brewery is one block away from our hotel. Taste some of the fantastic local craft beers. Voted " Best Beer in Washington 2021" by readers of the Missourian newspaper. Missouri's first community brewery.
Unique Cocktails, great snacks, fabulous olive oils, all in one fantastic atmosphere. This is a MUST stop for the best cocktails in town.
Oak & Front
The great atmosphere, spectacular wines, and fantastic food make Oak and Front our personal favorite stop.
Vino Di Lafayette
A seasonal wine bar and one of our absolute faves. Transport yourself from downtown Washington to a Tuscan Wine Garden. With over 60 wines and a fantastic selection of charcuteries, this place is truly one-of-a-kind. Truffles and wine? Yes, please!
Johnny G's Bier Deck
This is one of my favorite places to have a beer. It's outside, but you can go all year round: great snack foods, pizzas, and really incredible beer. The best part is the view of the Missouri River. Not into beer? Try their root beer with a shot of Vodka
the tilted Skillet
Another great restaurant we recommend is The Tilted Skillet. Fantastic wait staff and incredible food: This restaurant has excellent dining options and a delicious lunch menu.
The Old Dutch
Truly fantastic food, the best bartenders in town, and a fun, chill atmosphere make this restaurant a great addition to downtown Washington and one of our favorite places to eat and drink. Make sure you call for a reservation ahead.
Want to go where the locals go? Then ‘The Landing’ is your place. Great food and good drinks are the perfect recipes for a fantastic time in Downtown Washington. If the weather is nice, do not pass up the outdoor dining area.
1869 Draft Room Tavern
For all you sports fans, this is the place to be. Right across the street from ‘Marquart’s Landing’ is another little slice of heaven. Good food and a great outdoor patio for all the ‘people watching’ you can handle.
Although this restaurant is the furthest walk from our hotel (About 10 min), It is undoubtedly worth every step. Great burgers and sandwiches, as-well-as fantastic steaks and pasta.

Located right next door to 514 Chophouse is Sugarfire. If you are looking for some delicious BBQ in a casual setting, then this place is for you. Don't feel like walking? Sugarfire also offers delivery options to deliver right to your hotel room door.
